Consultant Ecologists
Ecosupport Ltd is currently able to offer a permanent position for two Consultant Ecologists to head our ‘Bespoke
Project Team’ here in the South of England, assisting with various project types throughout the region.
Your Role:
Your role will be to lead our ‘Bespoke Project Team’ department, plan, manage and deliver professional ecological
services to a broad range of clients. You will work alongside your team of assistants and field staff to maximise
project efficiency. Ecosupport Ltd is based in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire, with travel throughout the region and occasionally the
surrounding areas. Your time will be divided between office and field-based work.
Responsibilities:
• Liaison with team members, clients and planning authorities
• Production of ecological reports; PEA’s mitigation strategies, small development BNG
• EPS bat licence applications
• Project coordination and management, including coordination of surveys and field staff
• In-field ecology and protected species surveys
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree as a minimum and hold a Natural England Bat Survey Licence level 2 and capable
of applying for EPS mitigation licenses, taking on projects and clients as soon as you have settled into the
team.
You will have experience with the following:
• Preparation and production of PEA, mitigation and compensation strategies
• EPS bat licence applications
• Project coordination
• Client and stakeholder liaison & project tendering
• Hold Natural England Bat Survey License level 2 minimum
• Project and team management
• Planning processes
• Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain small development metric
Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills, positive attitude, self-discipline and a desire to be
challenged.

Pay Range: £33,000-£45,000+ DOE
Hours 40 hours pw inclusive of 30 hour lunch break per day

Habitat Team Operative
Ecosupport Ltd is currently able to offer permanent positions for our ‘Habitats Team’ here in the South
of England, assisting with various project types throughout the region.
Role:
Your role will be to assist and be part of the Ecosupport Ltd Habitat Management Team and carry out
ecological works relating to vegetation management activities, ecological restoration and mitigation.
You will be based in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire, with travel throughout the region and occasionally
the surrounding areas. This position will be largely field-based on various sites.
Responsibilities:
• Carrying out work relating to habitat management, ensuring your work maintains a highquality
standard
• Carry out on-site ecological works, including vegetation and habitat management, ecological
restoration and installation of mitigation works, including wildlife exclusion fencing
• Open and regular communication with the team to ensure works are carried out as required
per mitigation strategies
• Assist with protected species surveys
• Oversee manual equipment and vehicle maintenance, ensuring it is kept in working condition
Qualifications:
The following are preferable:
Experience with:
• Vegetation or habitat management
• Operating mechanical hand tools
• Strong communication, organisation and team working skills, positive attitude, self-discipline
• Ability to lift 23kg
• Full driver’s licence
The following are recommended but training and industry card submission can be provided:
City & Guilds Certificates or similar:
• Chainsaw
• Brush-cutters and Trimmers
• Manually Fed Woodchipper
• Experience with protected species surveys
• CSCS card
• Manual Handling or Working at Heights certificates

Seasonal Bat Surveyors
We are looking for seasonal bat surveyors to join our team in conducting bat surveys between May to September.
The Role:
The role involves dawn or dusk bat surveys throughout the survey season. The position offers flexible hours, with the option to choose the evenings you work. The position will involve approximately 6-14 hours per week (depending on availability), between Monday to Friday.
Experience & Requirements:
Previous experience with bat surveys is an asset but not essential. Training will be provided.
A driver's licence and vehicle is required.
Benefits:
Compensation is paid monthly at a per survey rate.
You will gain experience in ecological surveys and there may be further training or survey opportunities for other protected species.
